Ty Sober, of Wellington, owner of The Gold Corner has been honored with the 2015 Distinguished Service Award from the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce CV/B.
Sober graduated from WHS in 1980, and eventually went on to the Gemological Institute of America in California. After 10 years in the Golden State, he moved back to Wellington and opened The Gold Corner in 1994. Ever since he has been very involved in the community, helping Wellington grow and making the town a better place.
