Little Texas will headline the 116th Kansas Wheat Festival.
Since 1991 the band has released five studio albums, has had eight songs in the 10 ten on the country charts, a number one single and a couple awards during their career. They won the Academy of Country Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year in 1994, and Country Music Association Award for Album of the Year in the same year.
Little Texas will perform in downtown Wellington during the Thursday Night Street Dance on July 7, 2016.
A happy birthday goes out to Ruth Hatton, life long Wellington resident. Who will be turing 100-years old on Feb. 7. A birthday reception will be held at Cherished Friends, 924 S. Washington, on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. Cards and visits at any time are welcomed.
